July 5, 2005 WSDOT hosts the final of three public comment hearings on the I-90 Project in Seattle. The coalition will be kicking off the hearing with a tailgate picnic and rally. Click here to view our press release.

June 30, 2005 Wildlife crossings were the main topic at WSDOT's first public comment hearing in Ellensburg. Click here to read the Daily Record's coverage of the hearing.

June 14, 2005 A great editorial piece in support of the wildlife crossings makes the Opinion Page of the Seattle PI, and the paper holds an Opinion Poll on whether the crossings are worth the investment. Polls closed with nearly 87% of readers voting that "Yes" the crossings make the roadway safer and are a good investment, click here to view the editorial and poll.

June 10, 2005 The release of the DEIS and its designs to make I-90 wildlife friendly is covered in both major Seattle daily papers. November 22, 2004: Coalition Outreach Coordinator Jen Watkins and US Forest Service biologist Patty Garvey discuss the current obstacles for wildlife on I-90, and the potential benefits for them if the project were successful. Listen online.

November 13, 2004: Coalition director Charlie Raines spoke with Best Friends Radio, a weekly show aired from Idaho to New York. He gave an overview of the coalition and the potential to increase safety for motorists and wildlife with wildlife crossing structures. Listen online.

September 27, 2004: The Cascades Conservation Partnership secured $1.8 million for Yakima River wildlife corridor acquisitions, protecting habitat just south of proposed wildlife bridges at Easton Hill. Read more on the Partnership website.

September 18, 2004: Cascades Conservation Partnership Campaign Director David Atcheson was interviewed on KEXP-FM for Mind Over Matters. Hear this interesting discussion of their land protection efforts and the wildlife crossings still needed across I-90 in the central Cascades.

July 30, 2004: Support is growing in the science community for wildlife passage on I-90. A new letter of support has been sent by another group of distinguished scientists to Secretary MacDonald.

July 7, 2004: The Mountains To Sound Greenway Trust writes a letter of support to Secretary MacDonald.
