January, 2005. The Seattle
PI looks back at the last legislative session and notes "Greens Learn
Business" by bringing win-win packages to the legislature that help
business and the environment. The article uses I-90 as an example
of something that made it through successfully in the last session.

coalition will be kicking off the hearing with a tailgate picnic and

were the main topic at WSDOT's first public comment hearing in
Ellensburg.

June 14, 2005 A great editorial
piece in support of the wildlife crossings makes the Opinion Page of the
Seattle PI, and the paper holds an Opinion Poll on whether the crossings
are worth the investment. Polls closed with nearly 87% of readers voting
that "Yes" the crossings make the roadway safer and are a good
investment,

June 10, 2005 The release of the
DEIS and its designs to make I-90 wildlife friendly is covered in both

November 13, 2004: Coalition
director Charlie Raines spoke with Best Friends Radio, a weekly show
aired from Idaho to New York. He gave an overview of the coalition and
the potential to increase safety for motorists and wildlife with

October 7, 2004: Tim Engstrom,
journalist for Kittitas County's Daily Record took a Cascades fly-over
and spent some time with our staff and staff of WSDOT to understand the

September 27, 2004: The Cascades
Conservation Partnership secured $1.8 million for Yakima River wildlife
corridor acquisitions, protecting habitat just south of proposed

Gazette reports on crossing solutions proposed for grizzly and other

September 18, 2004: Cascades
Conservation Partnership Campaign Director David Atcheson was
interviewed on KEXP-FM for Mind Over Matters. Hear this interesting
discussion of their land protection efforts and the wildlife crossings

sends WSDOT an official request to consider additional wildlife measures

July 7, 2004: The Mountains To
